Gran Passione Rosso 2021 by Botter is produced in the Veneto region, an area renowned for its long winemaking tradition and favourable climatic conditions. The combination of a mild climate, the influence of the Adriatic Sea and the natural protection of the Alps creates an ideal environment for cultivating Merlot and Corvina, resulting in wines with richness, depth and expressive fruit.
For this cuvée, the grapes are harvested slightly overripe to enhance concentration, softness and aromatic intensity. After destemming, the must undergoes approximately 15 days of maceration, allowing for optimal extraction of colour and structure. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in temperature-controlled oak vats, contributing subtle vanilla and spicy notes that deepen the wine’s profile. The blend evolves into a harmonious balance where the roundness of Merlot meets the lively character of Corvina.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby colour, which may develop amber highlights with age. The bouquet is immediate and inviting, offering red and black fruit, plum, cherry and hints of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, yet smooth and approachable, with fine tannins and a supporting acidity that keeps the finish long and pleasant.
