Jules Desjourneys' Fleurie Chapelle des Bois is a French red wine produced in the Burgundy region. This wine is made from Gamay grapes grown in the Chapelle des Bois vineyard, located in the Fleurie sub-zone. The vineyard was founded in the 19th century by Jules Desjourneys and the Desjourneys family has been running it ever since, following sustainable and traditional farming methods.
The Fleurie Chapelle des Bois from Jules Desjourneys presents a fruity and floral bouquet, with notes of ripe berries and wild flowers. On the palate, it is surprisingly fresh and light, with a hint of pepper that makes it perfect to accompany meat dishes or to be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif. With regard to the production technique, the grapes are harvested by hand and undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled steel vats.
