Description

Spumante Brut Rosé – Cieck

The Brut Rosé Spumante by Cieck is the result of Remo Falconieri’s experimental spirit and his passion for local red grape varieties. Created in the 1990s, it represents a pioneering approach to sparkling wine in the Canavese area, combining traditional viticulture with Metodo Classico craftsmanship.

The grapes come from the old family vineyards, cultivated under the pergola system on moraine soils at around 320 meters above sea level, facing south to southwest. This traditional training system promotes a slow, even ripening, which enhances aromatic concentration and natural acidity — key qualities for producing fine sparkling wines.

After gentle whole-cluster pressing, the must ferments at controlled temperatures to preserve delicate fruit aromas. The brief skin contact, limited to the pressing phase, imparts a soft pink hue to the wine. The second fermentation in bottle follows the Metodo Classico, with at least 30 months of aging on the lees, giving it elegance and complexity. Manual rémuage and disgorgement ensure artisanal precision, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging before release.

In the glass, it reveals a light ruby-pink color and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet is fresh and aromatic, with notes of red currant, raspberry, pink flowers, and bread crust. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with vibrant bubbles and a balanced, fruity finish that lingers pleasantly.

Versatile and graceful, Cieck’s Brut Rosé Metodo Classico is an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with light appetizers, cured meats, fish, white meats, and vegetables. It’s also superb with seafood risottos and delicate pasta dishes, offering a refined and refreshing expression of the Canavese terroir.
