The Erbaluce di Caluso “Andromeda” 2018 by Fontecuore originates from San Giorgio Canavese, in the heart of Piedmont’s Canavese hills. Around the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Misobolo, a remnant of a medieval village, Fontecuore cultivates its vineyards following the traditional Canavese pergola system and certified organic farming methods that fully respect local biodiversity.
Made exclusively from organic Erbaluce grapes, an ancient native variety associated with the myth of the nymph Albaluce, this wine embodies Fontecuore’s commitment to environmental sustainability and authenticity. The best grapes are harvested at full maturity and gently pressed to extract only the finest must, which undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel at around 18°C.
“Andromeda” displays a brilliant straw-yellow color and a refined, complex bouquet. Floral hints of acacia and hawthorn mingle with aromas of green apple and pear, gradually evolving into delicate mineral notes with age. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and savory, offering harmony and persistence with a clear territorial identity.
