List of products by brand FONTECUORE
Fontecuore is a place where nature and life’s essence come together. Founded by Maria Luisa and Stefano Monticelli Desderi, the estate lies in the heart of Canavese, surrounded by organic vineyards, woods and pastures. Here, Erbaluce di Caluso, Nebbiolo, and other native grapes are cultivated with deep respect for biodiversity and vinified through artisanal methods. Each Fontecuore wine embodies authenticity, harmony, and spiritual awareness, a pure expression of its land.
MoreThe Fontecuore Winery was born from the vision of Maria Luisa and Stefano Monticelli Desderi, a couple inspired by the search for truth, purity, and connection with the earth.
Nestled in the Canavese hills of Piedmont, between San Giorgio, Cuceglio, Montalenghe, Vialfrè, and Torre Canavese, the Fontecuore Estate covers 16 hectares within the ancient post-glacial Serra Morenica. It is a rare ecosystem where vineyards, orchards, forests, and meadows coexist in perfect balance.
Fontecuore’s philosophy is guided by cosmic harmony — an organic equilibrium between vines, wild herbs, insects, and soil microorganisms. The vineyards are cultivated using the traditional Canavese pergola system, with natural soil management and no herbicides. The main varieties include Erbaluce, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Freisa, Bonarda, and the rare Neretto di San Giorgio.
Each wine is produced with meticulous care: gentle pressing for Erbaluce, temperature-controlled fermentations, and long aging on fine lees to enhance aromatic depth. Red wines undergo traditional vinification with extended macerations and aging in wood or steel, depending on the grape.
The result is a collection of authentic and soulful wines, from the crystalline Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG in its still, sparkling, and passito versions to expressive Canavese reds. Fontecuore wines mirror the estate’s ethos — an organic, conscious viticulture that sees man as a respectful part of nature.
The historic XI-century residence, restored using lime mortars and natural materials, houses the Ecopark of Biodiversity, a sanctuary open to visitors where nature, history, and philosophy intertwine.
More than a winery, Fontecuore is a way of life — a return to simplicity, truth, and the essential harmony between humans and the earth.
