Description

Cornas Brise Caillox 2017 Domaine do Coulet

Cornas Brise Caillox 2017 is a red wine from the Rhone Valley produced using natural methods by Domaine do Coulet. It is a Rhone Valley red wine with great body and personality, made from pure syrah grapes that grow on a granite soil that has disintegrated to form sand, called "Gore".

Made according to biodynamic farming principles, in line with Matthieu's philosophy that wine should be true to the grape and worked as little as possible in the cellar, this wine ferments spontaneously in cement tanks with maceration on the skins, and is aged for 9 months in 500l oak barrels and cement vats.

The 2017 Cornas Brise Caillox has an intense ruby red colour, while the nose expresses all the spicy intensity typical of Syrah, flowers, salty and briny scents, red fruit. The sip is structured but at the same time rich, delicate, with a savoury finish.
