Nine months of ageing on fine lees in large oak casks add texture and complexity while preserving the wine's remarkable freshness. Rich yet vibrant, it reveals layers of ripe citrus, yellow apple, chamomile, toasted almond and chalky minerality, finishing with outstanding precision and length.
Completing the tasting is Saumur "Terres Blanches" 2023 by Domaine de l'Enchantoir, produced in Le Puy-Notre-Dame on the region's distinctive Turonian limestone soils. Gentle lees ageing enhances the wine's elegant profile, where white fruit, citrus and delicate floral notes meet a refined mineral backbone. Focused, energetic and beautifully balanced, it captures the purity and finesse that define the finest expressions of Saumur.
