Chignin Cuvée Bibi 2021 Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz
Chignin Cuvée Bibi is the red wine label from Gamay and Mondeuse grapes by Domaine Gilles Berlioz dedicated to Gilles Berlioz. Its alter ego is CriCri, a white wine made from Jacquère grapes. Both cuvées come from new plots that were acquired last year and the labels are by oenophile artist Micheal Tolmer, the wine illustrator. For Gilles and Christine, art is part of their shared project, which is why they entrust their labels to different artists each year.
This red wine from Savoie is made from a blend of the indigenous Savoy grape variety Mondeuse plus Gamay, from old vines worked using biodynamic farming methods, with full respect for the environment: harvesting is by hand, pressing slow. Vinification and malolactic fermentation are carried out in ovoid fibreglass vats for a period of 8 months.
Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz's Cuvée Bibi 2021 is a mouth-watering and immediate wine, in its own right very interesting, demonstrating the talent of Domaine Gilles Berlioz, which does not disappoint even when producing simple wines like this one. Bright ruby red in colour, it offers aromas of red fruits and spicy notes, for a fresh, mouth-watering and immediate sip.
