Champagne Brut Black Label Magnum Lanson
The Champagne Brut “Black Label” by Lanson is one of the most representative expressions of the historic Maison of Reims, founded in 1760 and renowned for its refined, precise and timeless style. This cuvée is built around a predominant share of Pinot Noir, supported by Chardonnay and Meunier, grapes that add balance, aromatic richness and finesse. Sourced from more than 100 selected crus—half of which are classified as Grand or Premier Cru—the fruit reflects the exceptional vineyard heritage that forms the backbone of Lanson’s signature quality.
Each parcel is vinified separately, and the vins clairs do not undergo malolactic fermentation, a deliberate choice that preserves tension, vibrancy and the hallmark freshness of the house style. The second fermentation follows the traditional Champenoise method, with a minimum of 36 months of ageing on the lees, allowing the wine to develop complexity and creamy texture while maintaining clarity and precision.
In the glass, the Black Label displays a bright straw-yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with scents of citrus, green apple and white fruit, enriched by brioche, toasted bread and subtle nutty hints. Floral nuances add further elegance and lift. On the palate, it is fresh, linear and beautifully balanced: lively acidity supports a creamy yet taut texture, while the mineral backbone leads to a long, clean and vibrant finish.
Lanson’s Brut Black Label is a timeless Champagne, ideal as an elegant aperitif or paired with seafood, shellfish, raw fish and delicate dishes. A true emblem of the Maison, showcasing its centuries-old savoir-faire and unmistakable fresh, luminous style.
