Chablis 1er Cru "Beauroy" 2018 Laurent Tribut
Chablis 1er Cru "Beauroy" is one of Domaine Laurent Tribut's flagship wines. It is a traditional Chablis, made from young and old Chardonnay vines from 3 different plots on the 1.8 hectares of Premier Cru Beauroy.
The Domaine Laurent Tribut is one of the leading names in the Chablis region, thanks in part to its relationship with Vincent Dauvissat, from whom Laurent started working and learned the winemaking techniques. The grapes are harvested by hand and the bunches pressed whole. The fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks while the ageing is done in small old wooden barrels with only 10% new wood.
It has a pale yellow colour, and the nose immediately opens with hints of wild flowers, apple and white fruits, followed by spices and honey. The palate may seem oily but it is never heavy, as a nice minerality gives it balance. The finish is intense and flavoursome. The structure makes it suitable for foie gras, snails and cheese.
