The Cabernet 2021 by Cescon is a bold and expressive red wine that highlights the potential of one of the world’s most renowned grape varieties. Originally from Bordeaux, Cabernet has conquered every major winegrowing region thanks to its great adaptability and its ability to produce structured, long-lived wines. Cescon interprets this international classic with balance and personality, creating a wine that stands out for its aromatic richness and smooth, approachable style.
The blend combines 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, sourced from vineyards located in Fagarè, Vallonto and Fontanelle. The soils here are composed of alluvial clay, a substrate that enhances concentration, tannic structure and depth of flavour. This terroir-driven approach gives the wine its intense colour and its layered aromatic profile.
In the glass, the 2021 vintage displays a deep ruby hue. The nose opens with ripe red fruits—blackcurrant, cherry and blackberry—followed by delicate spicy notes, hints of wild herbs and subtle balsamic touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied, smooth and well-rounded, with firm yet harmonious tannins and a long, savory finish that reflects the character of both varieties.
