Barolo Riserva Lazzarito 2016 Réva
The Barolo Riserva Lazzarito 2016 by Réva is a majestic expression of Nebbiolo from the prestigious Lazzarito MGA in Serralunga d’Alba, an area renowned for its bold, structured, and long-lived Barolos.
Harvested manually and meticulously sorted, the Nebbiolo grapes (Lampia clone) undergo spontaneous fermentation in wooden truncated conical vats with submerged cap maceration lasting around 35 days. The wine is then aged in 25 hl Austrian oak casks (Stockinger) for 36 months, followed by 14 months of bottle aging before release.
The soil composition—Sant’Agata fossil marl, limestone and clay—provides a perfect foundation for power and finesse. The nose reveals ripe red fruit, spice, tobacco, leather and earthy notes, while the palate is deep, tannic yet refined, with verticality and exceptional aging potential.
Only produced in outstanding vintages, this Riserva is a collector’s Barolo, ideal for special occasions or long-term cellaring.
