Barolo Perno 2014 Oreste Stefano
Oreste Stefano's "Perno" 2014 is a classic and traditional style Barolo from the Langhe, made from Nebbiolo grapes from the Cru Perno located in Monforte d'Alba. Stefano uses only spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and uncontrolled temperatures, and for ageing only large, old Slavonian oak barrels, where this wine matures for 18 months. Oreste Stefano's Barolo Perno 2014 has a ruby red colour with garnet highlights, while the nose offers scents of violet, raspberry and tobacco. The taste is structured but elegant, characterised by silky tannins that allow it to be enjoyable even in its youth, while expressing its full potential after a few years of ageing.
