Barolo DOCG 2009 Magnum Brandini
The Barolo 2009 by Brandini comes from La Morra, on the western side of the Langhe, an area renowned for producing elegant and aromatic Barolo wines. Made from 100% Nebbiolo, it reflects the finesse and balance typical of this commune.
After gentle destemming and crushing, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve fresh and varietal aromas. Skin contact lasts approximately three weeks with regular pump-overs, and in outstanding vintages the submerged-cap maceration may be extended for an additional three weeks to enhance structure.
Malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel, followed by ageing in large oak casks for about 24 months. The wine is then transferred back to stainless steel in spring and bottled in June, with at least 18 additional months of bottle ageing before release.
Bright garnet in colour, it shows elegant aromas of red fruit and subtle spice. On the palate it is intense yet harmonious, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a fresh, balanced finish.
