Brandini, organic wines from Piemont

Brandini is a winery in Piedmont which was established in 1985 in La Morra, in the province of Cuneo, a modern winery which is in contrast with the big traditional wineries of Langhe. Owned by Piero Bagnasco, Oscar Farinetti and Joe Bastianich, it spreads over about 18 hectares of land distributed between La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba, where the main Piedmontese grapes are cultivated:

nebbiolo, dolcetto, barbera and arneis, to which is added about one hectare of viognier, an international white grape variety that is able to give good results in this terroir. The winery follows organic farming principles, which represent a real and proper way of life: great attention is paid to the care of the vineyard, without using herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

In the winery the work is done by the capable hands of Giuseppe Caviola, a renowned enologist. Every year the winery produces about 9 labels, a range from more everyday wines such as Dolcetto and Barbera, to more important bottles such as Barolo, which are aged in large casks and reflect all the characteristics of their terroir.
