Barolo Serralunga d’Alba 2021 Palladino
The Barolo Serralunga d’Alba 2021 is made from 100% Nebbiolo, including the Lampia and Michet sub-varieties, grown in Palladino’s vineyards in the heart of Serralunga d’Alba, in the Langhe. Covering 2 hectares, the vineyards feature diverse exposures and altitudes, contributing to the wine’s aromatic complexity and structural balance.
The soils are mainly calcareous-clayey, with subtle variations that give the wine a distinctive mineral and textural character. Vines are trained using simple Guyot, with a yield of 6,500 kg/ha, reflecting meticulous viticulture focused on quality. Harvesting is manual, selecting only the most mature and healthy grapes to ensure purity of fruit.
Winemaking follows classic methods: fermentation in stainless steel with controlled temperatures, extended maceration on the skins, and careful aging to allow Nebbiolo to develop its full aromatic profile and structure. On the nose, the wine reveals complex aromas of rose, violet, red fruits, and gentle spices like licorice and nutmeg. On the palate, it is soft, elegant, and well-balanced, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity, promising excellent aging potential.
Ideal pairings include roasts, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. The Barolo Serralunga d’Alba 2021 is perfect for both contemplative tasting and convivial occasions, embodying Palladino’s commitment to tradition and the Langhe terroir.
