Barbaresco 2014 Giancarlo Merlone
Barbaresco 2014 is a fine Piedmontese red wine produced by Giancarlo Merlone. This wine is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, coming from various vineyards in the Barbaresco area, at an altitude of about 250 meters and vineyards facing south-south west. The fermentation takes place in steel with long maceration, then the malolactic fermentation takes place in wood, like the refinement. Barbaresco 2014 Giancarlo Merlone is a complex and elegant wine, with structure and personality: ruby red color tending to garnet, it shows a nose of small red fruits and spices; in the mouth it is full and persistent, with a tannin present but smooth. Perfect match with meats and savory, it can be drunk immediately or left in the cellar for a few years.
