Vino Rosso Tachìss Sorpasso
Tachìss Red Wine by Sorpasso is the pure and spontaneous expression of the Carema and Settimo Vittone area, in northern Piedmont. It’s a handcrafted wine born from vineyards located between 350 and 500 meters above sea level, cultivated on steep terraces using traditional training systems such as pergola (topia) and espalier. Viticulture here is heroic and entirely manual, a true labor of love that honors the natural environment and the land’s history.
The grapes – deliberately described as “unnamed” – are vinified with minimal intervention. Fermentation starts spontaneously in stainless steel using a pied de cuve, followed by a long maceration of 40–50 days, with part of the grapes kept whole and the cap submerged. The wine then matures for 8–10 months in steel and used barrels, bottled without clarification or filtration to preserve its genuine character.
In the glass, Tachìss shows a bright, transparent red color, offering aromas of small red berries, wild herbs, delicate spices, and mineral hints. The palate is round yet agile, with lively freshness and silky tannins that bring harmony and energy. The finish is savory, persistent, and coherent with the wine’s aromatic profile.
Sorpasso Tachìss is a red wine of authenticity and vitality — a sincere expression of mountain viticulture that combines freshness, depth, and purity in every sip.
