Vin de France Blanc “Adèle” 2021 Eric Texier
The Vin de France Blanc “Adèle” by Eric Texier perfectly embodies the philosophy of this extraordinary Rhône Valley vigneron, renowned for crafting artisanal wines that faithfully reflect the character of the terroir and the grape varieties. This cuvée, made almost entirely from Clairette with a small contribution of Marsanne, comes from 40-year-old vines rooted in soils rich in granite and limestone, which impart freshness, mineral tension and aromatic complexity.
Harvesting is carried out by hand, with careful selection of the grapes. In the cellar, Eric Texier follows a minimal and respectful approach: gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, and vinification in concrete tanks, which preserve the varietal aromas and the integrity of the fruit. The wine then ages for several months on fine lees, still in concrete, and is bottled without filtration or clarification, maintaining all the authenticity of the grapes.
In the glass, “Adèle” shines with a luminous pale yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet is rich and intriguing: crisp green apple, white peach, citrus zest and bergamot, enhanced by floral hints of jasmine, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle iodized note that recalls the minerality of the terroir. On the palate, it is a vibrant and enveloping wine, fresh and round, with notes of ripe fruit, citrus honey, and a delicate beeswax nuance. The finish is long, saline, and persistent.
“Adèle” is an eclectic and convivial white, crafted to please everyone without sacrificing depth and character. Thanks to its balance and versatility, it works beautifully as an aperitif, yet also pairs perfectly with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, shellfish, fresh cheeses, and vegetable-based dishes. This label fully reflects the style of Eric Texier, a winemaker who brings together tradition, artisanal sensibility, and respect for nature in every bottle.
