Valpolicella Ripasso Pa’ Riondo Magnum 2012 Brunelli
The Valpolicella Ripasso Pa’ Riondo Magnum by Brunelli is produced in San Pietro in Cariano, at the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, one of the most renowned areas for premium Veneto red wines. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, grow on calcareous soils rich in stones, ensuring grapes of high concentration and strong varietal character.
This red wine is crafted from the traditional blend of Corvina Veronese (65%), Rondinella (25%) and Corvinone (10%). Its uniqueness lies in the Ripasso method: the Valpolicella base wine undergoes a second fermentation on the freshly pressed Amarone pomace, still rich in sugars and yeasts. This traditional technique enhances the wine’s body, structure, color and aromatic complexity, while also increasing its aging potential.
After the re-fermentation, the Brunelli Valpolicella Ripasso Magnum ages for 15 months in oak barriques and tonneaux, gaining elegance and balance, followed by 6 months of bottle refinement before release. In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color, with an aromatic bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant and fresh plum, enriched with delicate spicy and vanilla notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious and persistent, with smooth tannins and a long, refined finish.
The Valpolicella Ripasso Pa’ Riondo Magnum by Brunelli is a versatile and elegant red wine, ideal with hearty pasta dishes, grilled or braised red meats, roasts, game and medium-aged cheeses. Thanks to its richness and balance, it is the perfect companion for convivial dinners and special occasions.
