Tinto 2018 Fazenda Pradio

Tinto 2018 is a Spanish red wine produced by Fazenda Pradio. The winery is a small family-run business in the Ribeira Sacra in Galicia. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar the utmost care is taken, following principles of organic farming of which Xabi and Martina Pradio are supporters, carrying on the old family traditions. Tinto 2015 is made from all Mencia grapes that grow at an altitude of 350 m above sea level on sandy and granite soils.

According to these principles, the grapes are harvested early enough to allow for adequate acidity to produce fresher wines that differ from the common style of reds in the area. Tinto 2015 is made from 100% Mencia grapes that grow at an altitude of 350 m above sea level on sand and granite soils. The wine ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel, where it also matures for a period of 5 months.

This wine has a lively ruby red colour, with a predominantly fruity nose, accompanied by mineral, lavender, pepper and blood orange aromas. The palate is fresh with silky tannins and notes of strawberry and star anise. The finish is quite long and savoury.
