The Sfursat Carlo Negri Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is a bold and expressive red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) grapes, dried naturally in the cool, dry mountain air of the Alps. Grown on steep south-facing terraces between 300 and 550 meters above sea level, the grapes benefit from intense sun exposure and a unique microclimate.
In the glass, it shows a medium ruby color. On the nose, it is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe red fruits, black pepper, cinnamon, and subtle herbal undertones. The palate is dry and structured, with firm yet elegant tannins and flavors of black fruit, clove, and licorice, leading to a long and persistent finish.
Sfursat Carlo Negri is ideal with roasted red meats, game dishes, and aged mountain cheeses such as Bitto. A wine of deep character and alpine soul, perfect for connoisseurs of structured, high-altitude reds.
