Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Godeaux 2022 Chanterêves
Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Godeaux 2022 is a refined and elegant Pinot Noir crafted by Chanterêves, the small domaine founded by Tomoko Kuriyama and Guillaume Bott, known for their minimalist approach and pure terroir expression. Working organically and intervening as little as possible, they produce wines of great clarity and energy.
The vineyard Les Godeaux, located on the northern slope of Savigny-lès-Beaune at 250 meters altitude, is planted on limestone and light clay soils. This terroir yields wines of fine structure, lively acidity and subtle minerality, enhanced by cool northern breezes that preserve freshness and aromatic precision.
The grapes are hand-harvested, partially fermented as whole clusters, and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. The wine is aged for several months in used French oak barrels, which preserve the purity of fruit and highlight the delicate minerality of the Pinot Noir.
On the nose, it offers red and black cherries, wild berries, violets, and hints of undergrowth and forest floor. The palate is silky, vibrant, and precise, with bright acidity, fine tannins, and a long, mineral-laced finish.
Highly versatile at the table, this wine pairs beautifully with dishes like mushroom ravioli with sage butter, beet carpaccio with goat cheese and hazelnuts, or pan-seared salmon with lentils and lemon vinaigrette.
