Riesling “Tildega” 2020 – Ilaria Salvetti
Riesling “Tildega” by Ilaria Salvetti combines the international personality of Riesling Renano with the unique terroir of Canavese. Vineyards are located on morainic hills and alluvial plains at 290–350 meters above sea level, on soils rich in pebbles and gravel, perfect for low-yield quality viticulture.
Harvesting is manual in late September. The best grapes are selected, destemmed, and gently pressed. The free-run juice ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats, developing complex aromatic profiles. The wine matures for 6 months, partly in stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels, with a short bottle aging before release.
Visually, it presents a bright pale yellow color. The nose is elegant and complex, with notes of white flowers, hawthorn, acacia, and aromas of pear, green apple, white peach, with delicate mineral hints. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, and sapid, with intense, juicy fruit, and a long, vibrant finish.
Riesling “Tildega” pairs perfectly with fish, shellfish, delicate risottos, and refined dishes, showcasing the quality of Ilaria Salvetti wines and the expressive potential of both local and international grape varieties in the Canavese region.
