Terenzi is one of the most promising and structured wineries in Maremma Toscana, a region that has recently gained recognition for producing high-quality red wines, particularly from Sangiovese. Founded in 2001, the estate was established by the Terenzi family, originally from Milan, who identified Scansano as the ideal location to develop a project deeply rooted in terroir and quality.

The estate covers approximately 150 hectares in the Maremma hills, with 60 hectares of vineyards and 14 hectares of ancient olive groves, set within a landscape of exceptional natural beauty. Located between the Ombrone and Albegna river valleys, the area benefits from diverse soils, excellent exposure and a well-ventilated climate—key factors for high-quality viticulture.

At the center of production is a modern winery, designed to combine aesthetics and functionality. Fully integrated into the surrounding environment, it is equipped with advanced technology that allows precise control over every stage of the winemaking process, from fermentation to aging. The goal is to enhance terroir expression while maintaining stylistic consistency.

The winery is led by the three siblings Federico, Balbino and Francesca Terenzi, who transformed their passion into a structured and competitive business. Their philosophy is based on ambition, expertise and environmental respect, aiming to express the full potential of Maremma through authentic, high-quality wines. The project is further supported by renowned winemakers Beppe Caviola and Roberto Racca, who contribute to defining the winery’s style.

Production is strongly focused on Morellino di Scansano, interpreted through different expressions ranging from approachable wines to more structured and complex selections. Among these, the flagship wine “Madrechiesa” stands out as the purest representation of the estate’s vision, crafted from a single vineyard and designed to showcase the depth and identity of Maremma Sangiovese.

Today, Terenzi is a well-established winery capable of competing internationally, offering wines that combine terroir expression, precision and stylistic clarity, contributing to elevate the reputation of Maremma Toscana on the global stage.
