DOMAINE DE LA PINTE

Domaine_de_la_Pinte Grandi Bottiglie.jpgDomaine de la Pinte's Jura wines

The Domaine de la Pinte winery is located in the Jura, one of the least regarded French regions in terms of wine production and which has always suffered from competition with neighboring Burgundy, despite being a very suitable area for wine production thanks to the particular soil composition, formed by the precious soils composed of blue, gray and black marls with limestone and fossil subsoils, and by the particular winemaking techniques in full barrel.

It is here that in the 1950s Rober Martin gave life to the Domaine de la Pinte, between the municipalities of Arbois and Pupillin, which is now led by Pierre, carrying out work in the vineyard and in the cellar with extreme care and in a sustainable way. In fact, the Domaine underwent the conversion to organic in 1999 and from 2009 to biodynamic. Of the 34 total hectares that the Domaine now counts, 17 are dedicated only to the cultivation of Savagnin, the grape symbol of the Jura.

The whites based on Savagnin are characterized by a great aromaticity, and in general, all the wines produced by the Domaine de la Pinte show character and personality in representing the Jura area in a pure and faithful way.
