Chandon de Briailles, founded in 1834, is a historic family-run estate located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, at the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Today, the domaine is managed by Claude and François de Nicolay, descendants of Countess Aymard-Claude de Nicolay, and it spans 13.5 hectares across prestigious appellations such as Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Aloxe-Corton.

Since 2005, the domaine has been certified biodynamic, rejecting all synthetic chemicals in favor of natural treatments and a holistic vineyard philosophy. The estate focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, cultivating each plot with precision: horse plowing, parcel-by-parcel harvests, and strict grape selection are the norm.

In the cellar, minimal intervention is key: whole cluster fermentation with native yeasts in open wooden vats, aging for two winters in used oak barrels, and no fining or filtration. This hands-off approach allows each cru to express its true identity with clarity, finesse, and depth.
