Morey-Saint-Denis 2019 David Duband

Domaine David Duband's 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards that are around 50 years old from limestone and marl soils. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.

After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.

David Duband's Morey-Saint-Denis 2019 expresses a bright ruby red colour to the eye. The nose is clean and offers hints of red fruits such as raspberry and a balsamic nod of liquorice, for a fresh and pleasant sip, with soft tannins.
