Lagrein Riserva Gries 2020 Terlano

Lagrein Gries from Cantina Terlano is a bold, structured red wine made from Alto Adige’s native Lagrein grape, grown in the warm, fertile soils of Gries, near Bolzano—one of the best areas for this variety.

Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 7–10 months in large oak barrels, this wine combines intensity and smoothness with remarkable balance and depth.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red with purple highlights. The bouquet is rich in blackberry, plum and black cherry, with hints of cocoa, sweet spices and tobacco. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, velvety and warm, with smooth tannins and a persistent, harmonious finish.

Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, stews, game and aged cheeses.
