Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese 2020 Migliavacca
Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese 2020 is a Piedmontese red wine produced using natural methods by the Migliavacca winery. It is made from 100% Grignolino grapes, a typical grape of Monferrato where it grows on soils composed of red clayey marls, which give roundness and body to the wines.
The Grignolino del Monferrato differs from that of the Asti area, which tends to be straighter and more tannic, but Migliavacca's Grignolino, which is strongly expressive and far removed from fashions, is characterised by great elegance and pleasantness. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in 60 hl chestnut casks with 4-5 days' maceration on the skins, while refinement takes place in 50 hl Slavonian oak casks for 6-12 months.
Migliavacca's Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese has a typical bright orange-red colour. To the nose it offers floral and spicy aromas, while in the mouth it is very tannic but refined and drinkable. A unique Grignolino, with great personality.

VINIFICATION: spontaneous fermentation in 60 hl chestnut barrels and maceration on the skins for 4-5 days. Aging in 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 6/12 months.
