Gattinara Riserva 2013 Travaglini (6L Imperial Bottle)
The Gattinara Riserva 2013 by Travaglini, in a rare 6-liter imperial bottle, is an exceptional Nebbiolo expression from the volcanic hills of northern Piedmont. Produced only in the finest vintages, this Riserva comes from carefully selected old vines growing on porphyritic soils rich in iron, giving the wine structure, minerality, and aging potential.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with extended skin contact, followed by four years of aging in large Slavonian oak casks and one additional year in bottle. The result is a wine of remarkable depth and elegance.
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet red. The bouquet reveals dried rose, ripe red fruits, sweet spices, forest floor, graphite, and a balsamic touch. The palate is structured and refined, with firm yet polished tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral finish.
The 6L format is ideal for long-term aging or celebratory occasions, making this bottle a true statement piece for collectors and connoisseurs of great traditional Nebbiolo.
