Gattinara 2020 Half-Bottle Travaglini
Gattinara DOCG 2020 by Travaglini is a benchmark Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte, crafted from grapes grown on iron-rich porphyry soils that give the wine its signature minerality and structure.
Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a long maceration on the skins, followed by 36 months of aging in large Slavonian oak casks, and at least 3 months of bottle refinement before release.
It pours a bright garnet red and opens with an intense bouquet of ripe red berries, sweet spices, dried herbs, licorice, and crushed stone. The palate is elegant and structured, with integrated tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
A classic and age-worthy Nebbiolo, ideal with red meat, game, truffle dishes and aged cheeses.
