Chardonnay 2020 Vie di Romans
Chardonnay is one of the absolute protagonists of the Vie di Romans range, from which this intense and enveloping Friuli Venezia Giulia white wine is made. The historic winery has worked hard, especially over the last 30 years, to produce wines with great personality and quality, thanks to which it is now recognised as a guarantee of quality in Friuli and beyond.
The grapes for this Chardonnay 2020 come from a 9.95 hectare vineyard located in Mariano del Friuli, in a terroir of great value and at the same distance from the sea and the mountains. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in steel for 12-22 days, while the wine matures for 8 months in barriques and then a further 9 months in the bottle.
The Chardonnay 2020 Vie di Romans expresses an intense straw yellow colour to the eye, while the nose offers intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit such as apricot and pineapple, notes of vanilla and almonds. On the palate, the taste is rich and enveloping, balanced by a lovely freshness and savouriness. A great Friuli white wine that can age up to 10 years.
