Chianti Classico Riserva "Rancia" 2016 Fattoria di Felsina
Riserva "Rancia" expresses all the elegance and structure of the small Sangiovese grown in the vineyard of the same name in Castelnuovo Berardenga, at an altitude of 400 meters facing south.
Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is made from carefully selected bunches of grapes which, once brought to the winery, are crushed and destemmed before fermentation and the following 16-20 days of maceration on the skins in steel tanks with automatic punching down and daily pumping over. After resting in steel tanks until March, the wine is transferred into French oak barriques where it will stay for 18 months. After another 6 months in bottle, the wine is ready.
Ruby red color with good intensity and tonality. Spicy on the nose, floral notes and small red and black fruits, with mineral hints and a light toasted note. On the palate, hints of spice with young, firm and soft tannins, straight and tight on the finish, involving flavor and acid line.
