Chardonnay 2024 Miani

Chardonnay 2024 is a fine wine produced by Miani in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. It is an elegant, smooth and structured white wine that is part of the Colli Orientali del Friuli appellation. This area, located in the province of Udine, is close to the Slovenian border and has a unique and special terroir: the so-called Friulian ponca, which is a layer of marl alternating with sandstone that tends to disintegrate easily due to atmospheric changes, thus creating an extremely grainy soil that gives the wines a clear mineral imprint. The wine is then aged in barriques for about 12 months. Miani Chardonnay has an intense and bright straw yellow colour. The nose reveals a complex bouquet ranging from candied citrus fruits to dried fruit, from aromatic herbs to balsamic notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, powerful, smooth and at the same time refined, with the elegance and minerality typical of white wines from the Colli Orientali del Friuli.
