The "Hugues de Coulmet" Champagne by Pierre Moncuit is a Blanc de Blancs of rare elegance and purity, crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grown in the Sézanne area. This region’s chalky and limestone-rich soils impart exceptional minerality and a crystalline freshness, perfectly embodying the classic and refined style of this family-run Maison.
Aged for 48 months on the lees, this cuvée boasts a fresh and harmonious bouquet with aromas of green apple, flat peach, citrus, white flowers, and delicate hints of bread crust. In the glass, it reveals a refined pale yellow hue with fine, persistent bubbles. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance of freshness, minerality, and creaminess, culminating in a savory, lingering finish.
Crafted using the Méthode Champenoise, "Hugues de Coulmet" Champagne begins with a delicate pressing of the grapes to extract only the first-run juice, followed by meticulous aging to enhance its finesse and balance. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with light starters and delicate seafood dishes, delivering a satisfying sensory experience in every sip.
