Champagne “Puzzle” - Ruppert-Leroy
“Puzzle” by Ruppert-Leroy is a unique Champagne cuvée, crafted only once in response to the harsh 2021 vintage, severely impacted by spring frost across the Côte des Bar. To rescue the harvest, Bénédicte and Emmanuel Leroy combined grapes from their biodynamic estate with those generously donated by fellow organic growers in the region.
Made from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, this Champagne was entirely vinified in oak barrels and demi-muids, with spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtering, and absolutely no added sulfites or sugar (Brut Nature).
The nose reveals delicate notes of white flowers, ripe fruit and chalky minerality. The palate is vibrant and precise, with fine bubbles, bright acidity and a clean, saline finish. Only 4,000 bottles produced — a rare, artisanal cuvée that embodies resilience and integrity.
