Chablis Terroir de Chichée 2019 Patrick Piuze
The Chablis Terroir de Chichée 2019 is part of the range of fine white wines produced by the skilled hands of Patrick Piuze.
Piuze is one of Chablis' most interesting up-and-coming talents: having learned his trade from the best producers in the area, he now manages his 20 hectares of vineyards with care and skill, and is one of the few producers who can best express the different zones and microclimates of Chablis through his wines.
Its wines have a unique and recognisable style, through a more restrained acidity and greater balance, favoured by the choice to implement long and spontaneous fermentations. The Chardonnay grapes for the production of his 2019 Chablis Terroir de Chicée come from the plot of the same name located on a plateau not far from the 1er Cru Vaucoupin.
This haute Bourgogne wine expresses a luminous straw yellow colour to the eye, while the nose offers a good olfactory balance where on the one hand we find the pungency of the mineral and citrus notes, on the other the sweetness of white fruits, notes of honey and dried fruit. The sip is also balanced, characterised by a more restrained acidity and greater taste-olfactory balance.
