Brunello di Montalcino Rennina 2011 Pieve Santa Restituta – Gaja
The Brunello di Montalcino Rennina by Pieve Santa Restituta – Gaja is the epitome of elegance and precision. Produced only in outstanding vintages, it comes from a meticulous selection of estate vineyards located in the southwestern area of Montalcino, where soils rich in galestro, clay, and limestone shape wines of great finesse and age-worthiness.
Fermented with indigenous yeasts in large wooden vats and aged for more than two years in large oak casks, Rennina captures the full expression of Sangiovese: its complex bouquet reveals ripe cherry, plum, dried rose petals, balsamic herbs, leather, licorice, and sweet spices. The palate is silky and vibrant, with perfectly integrated tannins and a lingering, savory finish.
This is Gaja’s most intellectual and graceful interpretation of Brunello — a wine that combines Tuscan soul with Piedmontese vision. Rennina is a collector’s choice and a wine to enjoy slowly, over decades of evolution.
