Brunello di Montalcino 2005 Biondi Santi
Biondi Santi's 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is a fine red wine produced in the Tuscany region of Italy.
The cuvée of this wine is composed exclusively of Sangiovese grapes from vineyards located in the Montalcino area of Tuscany. Specifically, the grapes used to make this wine come from vineyards owned by the Biondi Santi family, located at a high altitude and facing south.
The winemaking techniques used to produce Biondi Santi's 2005 Brunello di Montalcino are traditional and artisanal. After harvest, the grapes are hand-selected and subjected to a long and gentle maceration and fermentation to extract only the finest tannins and aromas. Next, the wine is aged in oak barrels for at least two years before being bottled.
Biondi Santi's 2005 Brunello di Montalcino has a deep ruby red color and a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco and wood. In the mouth it is powerful and structured, with soft tannins and great flavor persistence. The finish is long and pleasant, with a return of the fruit and spice notes.
