Bourgogne Côte-d'Or Chardonnay 2019 Michel Bouzereau
Bourgogne Côte-d'Or Chardonnay 2019 is a fine white wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine Bouzereau. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from plots in the Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet vineyards of Domaine Michel Bouzereau: Magny, Sous la Velle (Meursault), Champs Perriers (Puligny-Montrachet), from vineyards growing on clay and limestone soils. Harvesting is done entirely by hand to respect the grapes as much as possible.
Slow pressing of the grapes, followed by gentle decanting until the following day before transferring the juice into barrels. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation, and then the wine is left to age on its lees for 1 year in 15% new barrels and then 2 months in tanks. Bottling, which follows the lunar cycles, takes place between November and March.
Michael Bouzereau's Bourgogne Côte-d'Or Chardonnay 2019 expresses a luminous straw yellow colour to the eye, while the nose expresses floral aromas of acacia flowers, honeysuckle and lilies, white peach, quince and mineral salts.
The aromatic range of the nose is also to be found in the mouth, where we find a creamy sip balanced by a fine acidity.
