Barolo Campè 2018 La Spinetta
The Barolo Campè DOCG by La Spinetta is an iconic and regal Nebbiolo born from 70-year-old vines planted in the Campè vineyard in Grinzane Cavour, at an altitude of 280 meters, on calcareous-clay soils of alluvial origin with southern exposure.
Vinified with 14–15 days of maceration and fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques (20% new) and ages for around 24 months in wood, followed by at least 12 months in bottle.
Aromatically rich, it displays floral notes of dried rose, layered with black cherry, plum, white truffle, and hints of forest floor. On the palate, it is full-bodied, deep, and finely textured, supported by a firm yet polished tannic backbone and a long, majestic finish.
This is a collector-worthy Barolo, offering great aging potential, ideal with white truffle pasta or slow-roasted beef. Only 7,000 bottles are produced annually, plus 400 Magnum Riservas aged over 10 years, selected from the finest vintages.
