Barolo 2015 Magnum Terre del Barolo
The Barolo 2015 Magnum by Terre del Barolo showcases the elegance and structure of Langhe Nebbiolo at its finest. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested in October from vineyards trained using the Guyot system, grown on clay-limestone soils that provide natural mineral notes and sophistication. With a maximum yield of 80 quintals per hectare, the grapes deliver concentrated, high-quality fruit.
After destemming and crushing, alcoholic fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled conditions (28–30°C) with a maceration of 16–20 days. Malolactic fermentation follows, and the wine is aged in large French oak barrels (25–50 hl) for at least 18 months within a total maturation period of 38 months. This long aging develops layered aromas of red berries, violets, leather, and subtle spice notes.
Visually, the wine shows a deep garnet color with orange reflections. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious, and elegant, with persistent, soft tannins supporting a rich and enveloping structure. Its depth and complexity make it perfect for long-term aging. Best paired with mushroom or white truffle dishes, roasted or braised red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Barolo 2015 Magnum by Terre del Barolo represents a pinnacle of Piedmontese winemaking tradition, satisfying even the most discerning enthusiasts.
