Barolo Acclivi 2017 Burlotto
This Barolo Acclivi 2017 is a great Italian fine wine produced by Burlotto, one of the most relevant names in the Piedmontese wine scene. It comes from a blend of Nebbiolo grapes from the Monvigliero, Neirane and Rocche dell'Olmo vineyards, all located in the municipality of Verduno, where the winery is situated;
Fabio Alessandria is the heir of this historic winery that produces excellent wines according to tradition: the grapes are pressed with the feet, the vinification is whole cluster with maceration of two months, then there is a long aging in large barrels: all this gives life to a wonderful wine, able to show off amazing scents and elegant tannins.
The 2017 Barolo Acclivi shows an intense garnet colour, the nose expresses a broad bouquet of plum, violet petals, tobacco and liquorice, mint and coffee together with hints of leather and ethereal tar. The palate is magnificent in its intensity and harmony, with a tannic texture that, although present, is very elegant and silky. A very long finish for this great Barolo.
