Barbaresco Vursù Starderi 2006 La Spinetta
Barbaresco Starderi is a fine Piedmontese wine, one of the most beautiful expressions of the Barbaresco Docg denomination, obtained with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, from the Starderi cru, in the northern part of Neive. It is an Italian red wine that well describes the territory from which it was born, the result of the company philosophy of La Spinetta, which has always been careful to enhance the great Piedmontese grape varieties.
The Starderi La Spinetta is born on a predominantly calcareous soil, 270 meters above sea level with southern exposure, from a vineyard of 6.5 hectares with vines over 50 years old, the production of the Starderi cru has always stood out for its high quality grapes. After the harvest, which takes place towards mid-October, the grapes are fermented in rotofermenters before maturing for 22 months in oak barriques and another 3 months in steel tanks, the wine does not undergo any filtration or clarification before being bottled.
Barbaresco Starderi La Spinetta is an excellence of the Piedmontese oenological production, a fine wine that makes the most of Nebbiolo, it is a wine of extraordinary elegance, richness and longevity. The glass has a ruby red color with garnet reflections, the nose has austere and essential aromas with mineral notes, berries in jam, roots, incense and sweet spices. On the palate it has good structure with deep aromas, evolved, silky tannins and a pleasant freshness. The finish is long and persistent.
