Barbaresco Roccalini 2014 Mainerdo
Barbaresco Roccalini 2014 is a harmonious and elegant red wine from Piedmont, produced by the Mainerdo winery. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the 3.9-hectare Roccalini vineyard in the commune of Barbaresco, with vineyards facing south, south-east.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 30°C for 20-21 days, ageing in 50% Slavonian oak barrels and 50% in cherry wood barriques for 3 years. Mainerdo's Barbaresco Roccalini 2014 expresses an intense ruby red colour with some reflections tending towards orange.
The nose expresses floral aromas of rose and violet, liquorice, mint, underbrush, vanilla and ripe cherry. The sip is structured but balanced, harmonious.
