Arbois Pupillin Ploussard 2018 Overnoy
Arbois Pupillin Ploussard 2018 is a fine red wine from Jura produced by Maison Pierre Overnoy. Ploussard is one of the typical red grape varieties of the Jura, from which light-coloured wines with great personality are produced. As is the case with this bottle, whose grapes come from a vineyard of 1.6 hectares from vines that are around 50 years old and rest on clay and limestone soil.
It is made using natural methods with no added sulphites, in line with Pierre Overnoy's production style, whose aim is to produce wines that are pure and as faithful as possible to the terroir of Pupillin. Vinification takes place with semi-carbonic maceration and alcoholic fermentation in 25 hl stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation and refinement on the fine lees also take place in stainless steel.
Overnoy's Arbois Pupillin Ploussard 2018 has a light ruby red colour, expresses aromas of red fruit and sweet spices such as cinnamon on the nose, has a light but characterful sip, fresh and pleasant.
