The Volnay 1er Cru Champans 2013 is a fine wine produced by the renowned Burgundy winery Marquis D'Angerville. Like all of the winery's labels, this wine speaks authentically and genuinely of the Volnay terroir. It is produced using biodynamic methods to respect the original characteristics of the grapes as much as possible. There are no Grands Crus in this area but several renowned Premiers Crus, including Les Champans: this climat of 11 hectares of vines has terroir characteristics that give its wines more structure and a little less elegance. The Volnay 1er Cru Champans expresses a seductive and complex bouquet on the nose with aromas of small red fruits such as blackberry and raspberry and mineral notes of limestone, after a while you can also perceive delicate floral notes. The taste is medium-bodied with soft but present tannins and a persistent finish.
