Description

Sfursat 5 Stelle 2015 Nino Negri

The Sfursat 5 Stelle Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is the flagship wine of Nino Negri, produced only in the best vintages. It comes from carefully hand-selected Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) grapes that are laid out in a single layer in 4 kg crates and naturally dried in ventilated rooms for around three months. This traditional method of appassimento reduces the grape weight by about 30%, concentrating sugars and flavors.

In the glass, it shows a brilliant ruby hue with garnet reflections. The bouquet reveals violet, ripe plum, and red berries, along with hints of sweet spices. The palate is velvety, structured, and rich, with a long-lasting finish full of depth and elegance. A true meditation wine, it pairs perfectly with red meats, game, or aged cheeses.

Sfursat 5 Stelle is a masterpiece of Valtellina winemaking that reflects the identity of a unique mountain terroir, marrying tradition, innovation, and passion.
