WEINGUT MOLITOR

Weingut Molitor is a Mosel (Germany) winery founded in 1995 when Achim Molitor, who comes from a family of winegrowers in the region, decided to start making his own wine from 5 hectares where he grows Riesling and Pinot Noir.

His production philosophy is based on a sustainable type of agriculture, spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention, even though one cannot speak of natural wines because the steep slopes where the vineyards are located require treatments carried out by helicopter, treatments that the individual producers cannot refuse because they are provided for by the consortium.

Despite this, Molitor strives for the highest quality and purity of its products. The fermentations are spontaneous, using only indigenous yeasts and are carried out in steel, as is the ageing, which lasts a year on the fine lees, after which the wines are bottled and remain for a long period in the bottle.
